About the Arizona Beach Rocky Shore Area
Description
The Arizona Beach rocky shore cell extends from the Arizona Beach campground on the north to just north of Sisters Rocks in Curry County, Oregon. Arizona Beach is approximately mid-way between Port Orford (12 miles N) and Gold Beach (14 miles S). |

Designation
The beaches and rocky shores of Oregon are part of Oregon’s Ocean Shore Recreation Area and the offshore rocks and islands are part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. |

Key Resources
Intertidal and subtidal habitat, including offshore kelp beds. Some seabird use of associated rocks and cliffs including pigeon guillemots and pelagic cormorants with some use by endangered brown pelicans and peregrine falcons. |

What can you do here?
Most use within the cell is confined to the beach adjacent to the Arizona Beach campground and includes beachcombing, birdwatching, fishing from shore and tidepooling. |
Getting to the Rocky shore at Arizona Beach
Primary access is via the privately owned and maintained Arizona Beach campground (day use entry fee if you are not camping is charged).
Who Owns this Site? Submerged and submersible (intertidal) lands: Division of State Lands; offshore rocks above Mean High Water: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The uplands are privately owned. |

Who Manages this Site?
The upland is privately owned. Oregon Parks and Recreation Department manages the ocean shore recreation area. |
