Getting to the Rocky shore at Lookout Rock

Several informal and somewhat difficult trails from Highway 101. Approximately 6 miles south of Port Orford is the turnoff for Humbug Mountain State Park. The easiest access to the beach and a small portion of the rocky shore is via the campground parking area (follow road through the campground follow signs to the B/C loop). The trailhead/day-use parking area for Humbug Mountain is on the west side of US 101 just north of the campground turn-off. Just slightly south of the boundary of the state park is a small ODOT pull-off with views of Island Rock.
