  What can you do here?
Human use includes scientific research, sightseeing, sport fishing from shore, beachcombing, marine mammal viewing and tidepooling. Strawberry Hill is designated a research reserve, therefore, collection of intertidal shellfish and invertebrates is limited (see current ODFW fishing regulations for a list of species and exact boundaries), except by scientific permit.

Educational Opportunities
The site is currently the location for one of OPRD’s rocky shore interpretive rangers. The ranger offers short tidepool presentations to people down in the tidepool area but does not currently offer scheduled programs/walks. Topics of these programs may include marine mammals, invertebrate ecology, and basic tidepool etiquette and safety. A ranger is either at Strawberry Hill or Heceta Head for interpretive guidance on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in July and August (subject to change). Campground programs may also involve rocky shore interpretive concepts at nearby Washburne State Park. Contact the Beachside SP management unit for information about the Strawberry Hill rocky shore interpretive program (541-563-3220).
